The feature

What is it?

Concordance is your cheat code for the words and phrases that show up across your material. Pick a deck, curriculum, or coach assignment and it groups the connections from 1x to 6x. A 1x word can point straight to one verse; denser Words and Phrases groups help you spot wording that is easy to mix up.

Everything lives in one pre-release study mode: Overview shows the map, Cards lets you compare the verses, Practice helps you lock in each Words or Phrases set, Simulation mixes them together, and Progress shows what still needs another round. Concordance is a real study workspace — and it is not part of VerseReels.

Coaches and quizmasters can assign the right material and see where the team is cooking or getting caught. Concordance simulation is practice only: no official clock, no competition points, and no pretending it replaces a real match.

How you'll use it

If you're a quizzer

You know the verses, but those almost-the-same phrases keep trying to steal the point.

  1. Load your material

    Open Concordance from a deck, curriculum, or assignment. It maps the exact verses on your plate—no random extras.

  2. Find the giveaways

    Start with the 1x band. Those one-of-one words can point straight to a verse before the rest of the clue lands.

  3. Untangle the look-alikes

    Move through the 2x–6x bands and open Cards to compare the phrases that sound just close enough to be annoying.

  4. Get your reps

    Practice one Words or Phrases set at a time, see what you missed, and run it back without restarting the whole portion.

  5. Mix it up

    Use Concordance simulation for a longer mixed round, then check Progress for the Words and Phrases that still need work. It is practice, not an official scored match.

If you're a coach

The team knows the portion. Now you need to find the tiny wording traps before quiz night does.

  1. Pick the right set

    Start with a curriculum or assignment so everyone sees the same Concordance map for the right portion.

  2. Send the reps

    Assign the Words, Phrases, or Combined sets that matter instead of making quizzers hunt through the material by hand.

  3. Spot the team traps

    Check Words / Phrases / Combined results to see whether the 2x, 3x, or denser connections are causing the misses.

  4. Plan the next practice

    Send the team back to its weak Words and Phrases, then use Concordance simulation as a practice check—never as an official score.

Is Concordance a study mode?

Yes. Concordance is a study mode — a full workspace with Overview, Cards, Practice, Simulation, and Progress. It sits alongside flashcards, free recall, and the other drill modes, and it does not appear in VerseReels.

What do the 1x through 6x labels mean?

The label shows how many places in the selected material share that word or phrase. Memr.is keeps the number visible alongside color, with filled words and underlined phrases, so color is never the only clue.

Does Concordance simulation use official competition scoring?

No. Concordance simulation is untimed and unpointed practice with no official match clock or competition score.
