How to become a Bible quiz coach.
A coach turns a season listing into a team that shows up. The program writes the rules. You run the week.
Coaches come from the church: a parent, a youth worker, a former quizzer. You do not need leftover quiz software to start. You need the official material, a practice plan, and a way to see who is actually studying.
Memr.is gives coaches assignment, readiness, live practice matches, and a room that parents can see. It does not certify you as an official, and it does not replace the program's coach handbook.

Get your church's blessing and pick the program.
Quizzing is a church ministry. Talk to a pastor or children's/youth leader, then choose the program that church will quiz in. The five profiles on this site explain each path without ranking them.

Use the official coach and season materials.
Rulebooks, verse listings, registration, and meet procedures come from the program organization. Link your team to those pages. Do not expect Memr.is to reproduce them.

Plan the listing, then check recall.
Use the Pace Planner to turn a verse count and season dates into a daily load. Use Recall Check to draw random listing numbers for a practice-night recitation. Both stay on this site and do not replace the official listing.

Build a weekly practice rhythm.
Assign the portion, review out loud, then run a practice quiz. On Memr.is you can assign study, watch readiness, and host live matches in real formats so Tuesday night looks like Saturday.

Keep parents in the loop — and out of the consent gap.
Coaches can request team access. They cannot provide parental consent for a minor. Under-13 quizzers stay with a parent or legal guardian. That is a safety rule, not a suggestion.

How do I become a Bible quiz coach?

What is the Memr.is Pace Planner?
The Pace Planner is a free Memr.is Bible quizzing study calendar. You pick a program, a division, a listing range, and the season dates, and it paints official-list numbers onto each study day. It works across WPF, UPCI, ALJC, National Bible Bee, Bible Bowl, and Awana. It does not reproduce official verse listings.
How many verses a day should a Bible quizzer learn?
It depends on the listing length, the days you actually study, and the date of your next meet. The Pace Planner divides the remaining listing by those study days and then splits the season into a higher weekly rate followed by a lighter finish so the last weeks are not a pile-up.
What is the Memr.is Recall Check?
Recall Check is a free Memr.is recitation sheet. A coach sets a quizzer name, a listing range, and how many verses to draw. The tool shuffles random official-list numbers in that range so the coach can hear the material out loud. It is not a copy of any other site's spot-check worksheet.
