What this orientation is
This note is for a parent or a new coach whose church is looking at WPF Apostolic Bible Quizzing for 2027. It is not a rulebook. It is not a verse listing. It is not an endorsement. WPF Bible Quizzing and its organizers remain the authority for curriculum, eligibility, registration, questions, scoring, and tournament rulings.
Memr.is, pronounced memorize, is an independent practice tool. It is not an official WPF system. You can walk this season with official materials and a church van. If you use Memr.is at all, use it for practice, never as the body that says you may quiz.
Who the ministry is for
The official about page describes Apostolic Bible Quizzing as a Worldwide Pentecostal Fellowship ministry meant to help children and young people learn the Word of God through regional and national participation.
The requirements page is the authority for who may participate. It says churches that identify as Apostolic may participate even without active WPF membership, subject to the official requirements and rulebook. That sentence is welcome news for some congregations and a homework assignment for others: read the requirements with your pastor before you promise a student a seat.
Do not invent age bands beyond what the official pages publish. If you need a current eligibility answer, open the requirements page again. Screenshots in a group chat go stale. The page does not.
The 2027 study: Equipped for Every Battle
The 2027 season is Equipped for Every Battle. It is built on the armor of God in Ephesians 6. The official season page launched the material on August 15, 2026. That is the date we will name, because it is the date the official page names.
The season page frames the armor as a way to connect Scripture to a real-life challenge. That is the ministry tone. It is not a reason to reprint the listing, the schedule, or any curriculum packet. Those stay on the official site.
Four divisions, four official listings
The 2027 material page publishes four divisions: Cadet, Beginner, Junior, and Senior. Each division has its own listing and learning schedule. Official materials include those listings and schedules. Printed cards and study guides are listed there as well. The 2027 rulebook is listed as coming soon.
Coming soon means coming soon. We will not invent foul language, jump rules, or scoring while the rulebook is unpublished. If your region is already practicing, ask your regional leadership how they want teams to prepare until the book is posted. A parent-and-coach orientation can wait that long.
A church should pick the division that matches the official requirements for each student, then stay in that listing. Do not blend Cadet and Senior cards to “get more done.” The material page is organized the way it is for a reason the organizers own.
The regional-to-national path
Requirements describe a path that builds through the regions:
- Regional participation is required before Regional Finals
- Participation at an ABQ Regional Finals is required before the National Tournament
That is the whole path we will state. We will not invent a 2027 nationals city, a venue, or a weekend. When WPF publishes those facts, the official pages will carry them.
For a local team, the practical meaning is simple. You cannot skip the region and hope the national floor appears. Plan the year as a regional year first. Let nationals be a later conversation if the official path opens.
How a parent can help without becoming the coach
Parents carry consent, rides, and the home hour. They do not have to run the lockout board. If a minor will use any digital practice tool, a parent or legal guardian gives consent. A coach cannot complete that flow. See Safety and minor protections.
At home, the job is smaller than it feels:
- Keep the official listing in a place the student can find
- Ask for a spoken recitation, not a phone screenshot of a highlight
- Protect sleep before a meet weekend
- Leave coaching on the floor to the coach
The parent room in Memr.is, if you use it, is a window rather than a gradebook. Due reviews and weekly minutes are enough to cheer. They are not enough to referee the coach.
How a coach can start the year
Read become a coach for the church-shaped role. Then do four official things:
- Confirm with the pastor that this is a WPF-oriented team
- Download only what the 2027 material page offers for your division
- Set a weekly practice hour the families can keep
- Register through official channels, without borrowing a deadline from a blog post
Practice itself can stay plain. Open the next slice of the official schedule. Recite. Ask questions in the forms your region already uses. Close by naming next week. The free Pace Planner can split a listing you already possess across the days you actually have. The free Recall Check can draw random numbers so you do not always start at the first verse.
Optional digital review, including smart review and VerseReels, can sit beside paper. According-to is one study form. None of it is the meet. None of it is the rulebook.
What Memr.is will not do in 2027
Memr.is will not reprint the WPF listing. It will not claim official scoring. It will not host a sanctioned Regional Finals. There are no DMs. Guardian consent remains required for minors. Match rooms, if you use them, are rehearsal. Officials still belong to the program.
If you want the wider map of US paths, How to get started lists equal doors. If you want only WPF, stay on the four official URLs in the sources below. They are live. They are enough.
A faithful 2027 WPF season is still a local church hiding Ephesians 6 armor language in young hearts, then walking the regional path the requirements already named. The orientation ends there, on purpose.
