Study mode 07 of 14

According to

Quizmasters don't hand you the verse. They hand you the reference. This mode trains you to hear “According to…” and already be moving.

What it is

Practice the exact question shape quiz programs love: the reference comes first, and your memory supplies the verse.

Every prompt here starts the way real quiz questions do: “According to” plus a reference. The address lands first, and the words after it have to come from your memory: no help left on the screen. That welds the reference and the wording together in the exact direction real questions flow.

Here's why that matters: plenty of quizzers know a verse and know its reference, just not in the same breath. On quiz day the reference is your only clue, so that link has to be automatic. Run this mode enough and hearing the address feels like a starting gun, not a riddle.

How it plays

One run, start to finish

  1. The reference leads

The prompt opens with “According to” and a reference: the same shape you'll hear at a real meet. That address is your only clue.

  2. You bring the words

No verse on screen, nothing to lean on. Everything after the reference comes from your memory.

  3. Get your receipts

Type your answer and it's graded word by word: you see exactly which words you missed, swapped, or added.

  4. Run it again

Every rep welds the address to the wording a little tighter, in the direction real questions flow.

Where it shines

According to is built for…
