Family, church & platform

Church & org admin

One console for the whole ministry: people, roles, groups, invitations, security, and an audit trail. Built for how churches actually run, volunteer turnover and all.

Built for church leaders

The feature

What is it?

A quizzing ministry is still a ministry: kids age up, volunteers rotate, and somebody's role changes every other week. The admin console gives church and org leaders a real control room for all of it. Every change is logged, and permissions are enforced by the server itself, not just hidden behind buttons. It's organized into two workspaces: Access & identity (Users, Roles & access, Groups, Invitations) and Platform (Security & controls, Audit log, Permissions, Lifecycle).

The day-to-day tools are the ones you'll actually live in: a user directory that shows who holds which roles and whether an account's in good standing, with each person's lifecycle controls a click away; scoped, audited role management: look someone up and manage exactly which roles they hold, and where; a groups cockpit for your organization → church → team tree, with team creation, roster checks, and invite follow-up; and an invitation queue where you create, resend, and revoke invites and can actually see whether they were delivered or quietly expired.

Then there's the layer most youth-ministry software never bothers to build: a security screen that shows your posture at a glance (key rotation, service principals, open risks, with every secret redacted), audit search that sticks to metadata and comes with export jobs for records you need to keep, permission reviews where each decision is saved with a reason code, ownership transfer and recovery for when leadership changes hands, and account controls to suspend, reactivate, or unlock someone with a reason code and case ID. Every one of those actions is safe to repeat and lands in the audit log: no mystery clicks, no 'wait, who did that?'

  • A user directory with role grants, account status, and per-person lifecycle controls
  • Scoped, audited role management: who holds which role, at which scope, always on the record
  • A groups cockpit for the org → church → team tree: create teams, check rosters, manage permissions
  • An invitation queue with delivery, resend, revoke, and expiry state. No more 'did you get my email?'
  • A security posture snapshot, plus metadata-only audit search and export
  • Permission reviews and ownership transfer, every decision recorded with a reason code
  • Suspend, reactivate, or unlock an account: reason code, case ID, full audit trail

Step by step

How you'll use it

If you're a church leader

New ministry year: two new coaches, one retiring, thirty new kids. And you, with a coffee and the admin console.

  1. Invite the new coaches

Create their invitations in the invitation queue and watch the delivery state. If one lands in a spam folder, resend it from the same screen: no guessing, no 'check your spam?' text thread.

  2. Grant exactly the right roles

In Roles & access, look up each coach and grant the coach role scoped to their team. Scoped means the junior-team coach never accidentally ends up with senior-team access, and every grant goes on the record.

  3. Shape this year's groups

Over in the Groups cockpit, create the season's teams under your church, check rosters, and chase the invites still floating out there: delivery, resend, revoke, and expiry state all live on one screen.

  4. Run the season-start review

Work through the pending permission-review items and record each decision with a reason code, including winding down the retiring coach's access, with gratitude and a clean paper trail. Then glance at Security & controls for your posture snapshot and any open risks.

  5. Handle departures cleanly

Use Lifecycle to suspend an account with a reason code and case ID, or reactivate and unlock when someone comes back. And when you need history, Audit search answers 'who changed what, and when,' with export jobs for anything you need to keep.

Quick questions

Good to know

What can a church admin manage in Memr.is?

Two workspaces cover it. Access & identity holds a user directory with role grants, audited scoped role management, a groups cockpit for the organization → church → team hierarchy, and an invitation queue with delivery, resend, revoke, and expiry state. Platform governance adds a security posture snapshot, audit search and export, permission reviews, ownership transfer, and account lifecycle controls to suspend, reactivate, or unlock accounts.

Can we see who changed what in our org?

Yes, that's the whole point of the audit log. Every administrative change writes an audit event, and the audit screen offers metadata-only search with redacted event summaries, plus export jobs for records you need to keep. Permission reviews add a scheduled checkpoint where each access decision is recorded with a reason code.

Do all admins see all admin tools?

No. The console is capability-gated: each person's admin navigation only shows the screens their role actually grants, and the backend enforces the same authorization on every request, so a volunteer helper and a lead administrator see appropriately different consoles.
