Under Rule 501, an accredited investor generally means: individual income over $200,000 (or $300,000 with a spouse or partner) in each of the past two years with the same expectation this year; net worth over $1 million excluding a primary residence; certain professional licenses (such as Series 7, 65, or 82); or an entity meeting the rule's asset or ownership tests.
