What is it?

It's 9:47pm. You're on the couch, thumb already scrolling. VerseReels™ takes that exact habit and hands it your verses instead: a full-screen, swipeable feed built only from what YOU'RE actually studying — your decks, your curriculum, the verses your coach assigned. Same motion as the feeds you already know. Completely different payoff.

The feed always knows what to show next. Verses about to slip come first, then your shakiest ones, then fresh picks from your assigned material, and every verse shows up once before it comes back around. The better you know a verse, the more of it disappears: full text the first time, a light fade as it sticks, deeper as you prove it. At the top level the card is nearly blank and you're still saying every word, right down to initials mode, where all that's left is the first letter of each word and you supply the rest.

And it never just gets harder and stays there. VerseReels moves in waves: it eases off to let a memory settle, holds at your current level, then pushes into a real stretch before backing down again, over and over, so the same verse gets tested from every angle instead of only on an easy day. Miss one and it returns sooner and gentler; nail it cold and it comes back later and deeper. The feed keeps going as long as you do, always rebuilding from your own material, never random scripture and never filler.

How you'll use it

If you're a quizzer

Ten minutes before youth group is plenty. Open the feed and go.

  1. Open reels

    Tap Reels and your feed is already building from your assigned material: the verses closest to slipping sit right on top.

  2. Read, then swipe

    Say the verse in your head, check yourself, then swipe one way for 'got it' and the other for 'not yet'. Arrow keys work too.

  3. Ride the waves

    The feed eases off, then stretches you: an easy recall, a fill-in-the-blank, then a card that's nearly gone. Difficulty rises and falls so no verse ever gets comfortable.

  4. Watch the words disappear

    Every time you prove a verse it comes back more faded, down to initials mode: just the first letter of each word, with you supplying the rest from memory.

  5. Keep going as long as you want

    The feed doesn't run dry. It keeps pulling from your material and adapting to what you just did. Practice until you're sharp, then close the app and walk into the room ready.

How do the fading words and difficulty waves work in VerseReels?

Each card has a fade level from 0 to 3, set by how well you've proven the verse: full text at first, a light fade as it sticks, deeper as your mastery climbs, and near-blank at the top, including initials mode where only the first letter of each word remains. On top of that, the feed rides waves of difficulty: it eases off, holds at your level, then stretches you before backing down again. Depth only increases as your memory earns it. Miss a verse and it softens back down so you rebuild before it hides again.
