iOS & Android apps

iOS and Android apps with an offline verse cache, solo quiz, and reels, so practice survives the van ride to tournament, signal or not.

Built for quizzers · parents

The feature

What is it?

It's 6am, the van's loaded, and the signal dies past the county line. Doesn't matter. The Memr.is apps for iOS and Android keep a verse cache right on your phone: every chapter you open gets saved to your device, and the second the network disappears, the reader flips to your offline copy with a little 'Offline copy' tag so you always know what you're reading. Your portion rides shotgun the whole way.

And no, this isn't some watered-down mini version. Open the app and your stats, today's community quests, and the daily verse are already waiting. From there, pick your move: the full Bible reader, your review queue that catches verses before they fade, VerseReels (the swipeable stack where words vanish as you learn and every 'got it' or 'again' feeds your review schedule), or a solo quiz that runs question by question, shows your accuracy at the end, and saves the receipts to your account.

iPhone and Android get the same features at the same time: both apps ship from one Kotlin Multiplatform + Compose Multiplatform codebase with a native iOS shell. Sign in once, email or one-tap social, and it's the exact same account as the web: same decks, same mastery, same streaks. Every rep on your phone counts toward the progress your coach and parents see. Nothing gets left behind.

  • Real native apps for iOS and Android, built from one shared Kotlin Multiplatform codebase
  • Every chapter you open saves to your phone: an on-device verse cache in SQLite
  • Signal drops? The reader flips to your offline copy on its own
  • Solo quiz in your pocket: answer, get graded, see your accuracy. Results saved
  • VerseReels: words fade, you swipe 'got it' or 'again', and your review queue takes notes
  • One home screen with your stats, today's quests, and the daily verse. Same account as the web

Step by step

How you'll use it

If you're a quizzer

Three hours to district. Zero bars past the county line. You're still locked in.

  1. Load up before you leave

On home wifi, open the reader and flip through your portion's chapters. Every chapter you open drops into the on-device cache automatically. That's the whole setup.

  2. Read through the dead zone

Bars gone? Keep going. The reader serves your cached chapters with an 'Offline copy' tag. Your portion rides with you the whole way there.

  3. Drill whenever you've got signal

Run VerseReels (swipe 'got it' or 'again' as the words fade), clear your review queue, then take a solo quiz. It grades every answer and shows your accuracy at the end. No guessing where you stand.

  4. Watch every rep count

Quiz results and graded reels save straight to your account. The mastery you stack in the van is the same mastery your coach's dashboard shows Tuesday night.

If you're a parent

Let's be honest: real practice happens in the minivan, somewhere between school pickup and church.

  1. Install and sign in

Put the app on your quizzer's phone or tablet and sign them into the account they already have: same email or one-tap social sign-in as the web.

  2. Pre-load the portion

Have them open this week's chapters on home wifi so the verses are cached. After that, errands, waiting rooms, and road trips all turn into reading time, coverage or not.

  3. Make ten minutes easy

The moment the app opens, the home screen offers the daily verse and today's quests: a built-in 'just do one thing' nudge that fits the short windows you actually have.

  4. Keep one picture of progress

Everything they practice on the phone lands in the same account your parent dashboard follows. One world to check, not two.

Quick questions

Good to know

Do the Memr.is mobile apps work offline?

Yes, for reading. The apps keep an on-device verse cache: every chapter you open is stored on your phone, and when the network is unavailable, the reader automatically serves your offline copy with a clear 'Offline copy' tag. Live features like quiz grading and the reels feed still use your connection, and your results save to your account.

Is Memr.is on both iOS and Android?

Yes, both. The iPhone and Android apps ship from one shared Kotlin Multiplatform + Compose Multiplatform codebase with a native iOS shell, so both sides get the same features at the same time. Nobody waits.

Is my mobile account separate from my web account?

No, it's one account everywhere. Sign in on your phone with the same email or one-tap social sign-in and everything is already there: your decks, mastery, streaks, and stickers. Every verse you practice on mobile counts toward the same progress.

Take your verses where the signal can't follow

Hop on the early-access list and be first in line when the mobile apps drop. One email, no spam. Just the heads-up.
